Comments :  Our son began at Northwest Taekwon-Do 1 1/2 years ago. Our intent was to help gain some confidence. He has gained much more than that! He's found that confidence he had buried. He's no longer picked on at school, not that he's used TKD, but the way he carries himself has changed. The instructors are outstanding with the children as well as the adults. The students are encouraged to help each other. Robbie just tested for High Red belt. He can't seem to get enough, not to mention the muscle and stamina he's built along the way. He's even talking about being an instructor as an adult.

Comments :  Joshua began taking lessons a few years ago and is very close to attaining his black belt thanks to the fantastic teaching and great learning environment that Mr. DeSousa has provided. Mr. D. is extremely creative and every session is different which keeps everything fresh. He is also very positive and knows his students well enough to know what motivates each of them individually and collectively. Mr. D. teaches respect for others in a very fun environment and is a very skilled TKD teacher and we are glad hwe found NW TKD!

Comments :  I started taking TaeKwanDo at the end of April of this year. My father talked to me about joining with him. He had been going for a few months then. I had some past martial arts experience, but I no idea that TaeKwanDo would test my body and mind like it has. It's been great. Since I started I have slimmed my waiste and have re-gained some muscle that I once had. The stretching and cardio have been great for my Arthritis. My father and I know we will get a good workout with each class. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and respectful of each other. We are one big extended family. Mr DeSousa and Mr. Meyer are two of the nicest guys who really do care aout their students.

Comments :  When my family relocated to North West Arkansas from the UK three years ago, one of our first tasks was to find a new TaeKwonDo School. Our Instructor in the UK run a very family friendly school, with strong values and a focus on students setting the highest standards for themselves. We came to the US hoping to find a school with a similar approach, and were delighted when we found North West TaeKwonDo. We had found a great club, full of new friends, waiting to be made. The vast experience and teaching skills of Mr DeSousa have found an excellant compliment with the energy, enthusiasm and technical strengths of Mr Meyer. Classes here are high energy, fun and I know that I will always leave class having learned something new - whether that is about martial arts, my instructors or fellow students, or my body's otherwise hidden ability to continue to develop and grow. Way to go, NW TaeKwonDo !!

Comments :  My daughter and I study Taekwon-Do here and I can't say enough about what a privilege it is to be a part of a school that is so well run. We looked at many schools and many martial arts taught in the area before choosing Northwest Taekwon-Do. We did so because of the family atmosphere and the attitude of the students and instructors here. I was an avid martial artist in my youth earning my first black-belt in Taekwon-Do in 1987 and a black-belt in the martial arts system of Kwon Chi Chuan in 1989. Between the years of 1982 and 1992 I also participated in activities and studies at many different martial arts schools and events running the gambit of styles: Shito-Ryu, Okinawan Kenpo Karate, Judo, Kendo, Tae Soo Do and Muy Thai. I can tell you from my experience if you are looking for a martial art to study for healthy activity, self-defense, mental discipline, or social exercise you will not find a better foundation style than Taekwon-Do and you will have a very hard time finding a better more enjoyable school where ever you may look. -Scott

Comments :  My daughters began taking Taekwondo three years ago. They should be ready to test for their first black belt at the beginning of next year. I really enjoyed watching them in class their first year, and decided to join two years ago. My husband then joined six months later. It is really cool to be able to work out together as a family! Our instructors are AWESOME, and we have met the nicest people in our class, including several other families where everyone participates. We're like one big family. It is great exercise both physically and mentally; I love the challenge! I'm hooked for life! :-)
